Grow curiosity. We are a small school for young mushroom growers — a friendly, free place to learn real biology by growing something yourself.
Our mission
Mushrooms School exists for one reason: to make good, honest education about mushrooms and the biology behind them free and available in many languages. Mushrooms are one of the loveliest ways to learn how nature works — you watch something real grow, from thread of mycelium to harvest, right on your windowsill.
Everything on this platform is free. Children aged 6 to 9 learn with us on the junior track, explorers aged 10 to 14 on the explorer track, and adults who dream of their own professional growery find their way in the pro section.
Who we are
Behind Mushrooms School is a small team: writers, editors and growers who love fungi and love explaining things well. We do not use inflated titles or invented experts. We write carefully, check our facts and keep the language clear — readable for children, without simplifying the science until it stops being true. Learning by doing
Our courses are built around doing: watching, caring, measuring and harvesting. Young growers work together with an adult — that is both more fun and safer. Anyone who completes a course can earn a certificate. An account is optional; you only need one if you want to save your progress.
Grow kits
The courses pair with our grow kits of safe, edible species. We sell those separately in our shop — not on this platform. The school itself is free and stays free.
Safety first
We work only with known, safe, edible species from grow kits. We never encourage eating wild-picked mushrooms — identification is a job for experts.
