For parents
Your child wants to grow mushrooms — wonderful! Here, in plain language, is what this platform is, what we do and don't keep, and how to reach us.
What is Mushrooms School?
A free learning platform about biology and growing edible mushrooms. Every course and article is completely free, in ten languages, with no advertising. We sell nothing on this site; our grow kits live in a separate webshop, and a buy button only links there.
Safety first
One golden rule runs through the whole platform: never eat wild-picked mushrooms. Our lessons work with grow kits of known safe species, and young children always grow and cook together with an adult.
Accounts and data
An account is optional: everything can be read without logging in. You can create one to save course progress and earn certificates. We store your email address, optional display name, progress and quiz scores, plus when you accepted the terms and which version you accepted. No date of birth, no address, no ads, and no tracking cookies on the pages children use. At sign-up we ask children under 16 to get a parent or guardian's OK.
On the account page anyone can download their data or delete the account permanently. Our newsletter is meant for adults and is offered only here and in the pro section, with double opt-in.
