Privacy policy

Mushrooms School is a free educational platform. We process as little personal data as we can, and only for the purposes described below. This page explains, in plain language, what data we keep, who processes it on our behalf, and which rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we keep

Account details. When you create an account, we store your email address and, if you provide it, a display name. We use these to sign you in and to link your progress to you.

Course progress and quiz scores. As you work through lessons, we record which ones you have completed and your quiz scores, so you can pick up where you left off and earn certificates.

Newsletter. Our newsletter is aimed at adults and uses double opt-in: you are only on the list after you have confirmed your subscription by email. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click.

That is all. No payment details, no advertising profiles.

Who processes your data

Supabase provides our authentication and database; your account details and progress are stored there. Our email service (SMTP) sends transactional messages such as confirmations. When visitor statistics are switched on, Google Analytics receives them without cookies and with storage consent denied, and Microsoft Clarity runs only on the grown-ups' pages. We have agreements with our processors about protecting your data.

No ads, no selling data

We show no ads, we do not sell your data, and we use no advertising or profiling cookies. The cookies we do set are small and functional: one remembers your language, one remembers whether you chose Junior or Explorer on the courses page, and — only if you create an account — one keeps you signed in.

How long we keep data

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we erase your personal data.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have it erased, to data portability, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise these rights by emailing info@mushroomsschool.com. We will respond within the statutory time limit.

Download your data or delete your account yourself

If you have an account, you can exercise two of these rights directly from your account page, without emailing us. "Download my data" gives you a copy of everything we store about you as a single file (data portability). "Delete my account" permanently erases your account and personal data — your profile, your progress and your quiz scores.
